3 Ingredient Cake Mix Apple Spice Muffins Recipe
The ingredients for this muffin recipe are so simple! You’ll just need 1 box of spice cake mix (preferably Duncan Hines or Betty Crocker), 2 cups apple sauce, 1 large diced apple and the optional mix-ins of your choice like raisins, walnuts or pecans. You could also add some finely shredded carrot or zucchini if you have them on hand. You know, hide some veggies when you can!
The hardest part about this recipe is dicing the apple, but that should only take you a minute or two. You can peel your apple if you’d like, but I prefer to keep the added fiber and nutrition that’s in the apple peel.
Once your apple is diced into small pieces, simply mix everything together and spoon it into a greased or lined muffin pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 15-20 or until a toothpick comes out clean. I like to check them at 15 minutes and then add more time if needed.
If you're looking for quick and easy snack ideas, these apple spice muffins are made with just a few ingredints: a box of spice cake mix, apple sauce and a diced apple. Incredibly moist and delicius for such simple ingredients! They are also super delish with a little cream cheese for breakfast.
- 1 box spice cake mix
- 2 cups apple sauce
- 1 large diced apple (any kind)
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and grease or line a muffin pan.
In a large bowl, combine the cake mix and applesauce until well blended; fold in the diced apples.
Evenly scoop the batter into your prepared muffin pan until the cups are about 3/4 full.
Bake in the center rack for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Enjoy warm with a little butter or cream cheese. Yum!
- You can also optionally fold in about half a cup of mix-ins to the batter that you'd like such as walnuts, pecans or raisins.
- You could also add 1/4 cup of finely shredded carrots or zucchini if you happen to have them on hand (hide some veggies in there!)
