If you’re looking for something a little different to make, you’ve got to try roasting cooked pasta. You simply toss the pasta with olive oil, parmesan cheese and seasoning, and then roast for about 20 minutes until they’re crispy on the outer edges with soft and tender centers. Dip in marinara and enjoy for movie night, after school snacking, family gatherings, or anytime you want something yummy to eat.
Crunchy Pasta Chips Recipe
- 2 cups dry bow tie pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- salt & pepper to taste
- warm marinara sauce for dipping
Step 1Fully cook the pasta according the package directions. NOT al a dente! You want it to be pretty soft so that it’s not chewy in the center once baked.
Step 2 Drain the pasta and place it into a medium size bowl. Toss it with the olive oil, parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, black pepper and salt to taste (about 1/4 tsp).
Step 3 Evenly place the pasta in a single layer on a large greased baking sheet. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 18-24 minutes or until golden brown and crunchy.
Step 4 Serve immediately with warm marinara, basil pesto, Alfredo, or the sauce of your choice.
