A Cheap & Easy Dinner Recipe For The Family Made With Ground Beef
This easy casserole recipe is made with simple ingredients that your family will love including ground beef, cream of mushroom soup, cheddar cheese, green beans, onion and tater tots. Some serious comfort food!
I’m always on the hunt for quick and easy dinner recipes, and my go-to weeknight meal usually comes down to some kind of casserole dish that I know my picky eaters will devour. This cheesy tater tot and ground beef casserole has just about everything you need in a meal, making it one of our favorite main dishes.
You could also add in any extra veggies that you like such as corn, zucchini, bell pepper or fresh mushrooms, just depending on what you and your kids like. The more veggies you can sneak in, the better!
Easy Cheesy Tater Tot Casserole Made With Ground Beef, Green Beans & Cream Of Mushroom Soup
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 diced yellow onion
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can drained green beans
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 28oz bag of frozen tater tots
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- salt, pepper and garlic to taste
- Start off by browning the ground beef with the chopped onion in a medium size skillet. Season the beef with a little salt, black pepper and garlic powder to taste. Remove any excess grease from the pan and mix in the Worcestershire sauce; place the mixture onto the bottom of a greased 9×13 baking dish.
- Evenly spread the cream of mushroom soup over top and then top with green beans.
- Sprinkle the cheddar cheese over top.
- Layer as many of the the frozen tater tots as you can fit over the top (you will most likely have a few left over).
Bake uncovered in the center rack of a 375 degree oven for 35-40 minutes or until the tater tots are cooked thoroughly and become crispy and golden brown.
Super DELISH! This combination may sound a little strange, but it all bakes up to some of the best comfort food you’ll ever eat. The crispy tater tots are the perfect match to the soft and creamy layers of this casserole.
The great thing about this tater tot casserole is that it’s just as good, if not better, left over! I actually enjoyed it even more the next day.

- 1 (28oz) bag frozen tater tots (you will have some leftover)
- 1 (lb) ground beef
- 1/2 diced yellow onion
- 1 (10.75oz) can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (14oz) can green beans (drained)
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees and grease a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray.

In a medium size skillet, cook and brown the ground beef with the diced onion. Remove any excess grease and stir in the Worcestershire sauce.
