Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 2 cups cubed ham (cooked)
- 2 cups frozen green peas
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder to taste
- A dash of hot sauce to taste

Cheesy Ham and Pea Casserole
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 2 cups cubed ham
- 2 cups frozen green peas
- 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz)
- ½ cup sour cream
- 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- dash of hot sauce to taste (optional)
- salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 baking dish.
- Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Reserve one cup of shredded cheese for the top of the casserole.
- Pour the casserole mixture into your prepared baking dish and sprinkle the remaining cup of cheese evenly over the top.
- Bake uncovered for approximately 30 minutes or until the casserole is bubbling and the cheese is melted and golden brown.
- Let cool for 5 minutes. Enjoy!
Notes
- Make this dish extra lazy by using instant rice and precooked cubed ham.
- I like to use frozen peas in this recipe because they don't get squishy when baked, but you could use any veggie you'd like.
- This casserole is perfect to make ahead and freeze. Simply pull it out of the freezer in the morning and it will be ready to bake by dinner time.
- You could also sprinkle on some breadcrumbs before baking for added crunch and flavor.
- Don't skip on the hot sauce in this recipe. Adding just a teaspoon will NOT make this casserole spicy but it will add a really yummy flavor!
