A quick and easy dessert recipe that will surely impress!
If you’re a cheesecake fan and chocolate lover, then you are going to go crazy over these swirled cheesecake brownies. They are incredibly quick and easy to make thanks to boxed brownie mix and cream cheese.
A delicious homemade dessert does not always mean spending hours in the kitchen baking, in fact, I’ve found the best treats are usually simple to make with just a few basic ingredients, and that definitely includes these AMAZING fudgy brownies with a layer of cream cheese over top.
The best dessert you will ever make.
As if brownies couldn’t get any better, am I right? To me, brownies are probably the best dessert in the world, but then you go drizzle cheesecake over top and you’ve got something from another planet. Something your entire family will beg you to make over and over again. My kids love them!
Whether you’re looking for a yummy dessert to make on a lazy Sunday at home or a heavenly dessert to feed a crowd, these cheesecake swirled brownies never disappoint. If you’re taking them to a party, I’d recommend placing them in a cupcake liner or separated with parchment paper because they are gooey– gooey in a good way! Like “lick your fingers clean and grab another one before they are gone” good.
The best dessert, ever! Seriously. How can you go wrong with chocolate brownies topped and swirled with cheesecake. This quick and easy homemade dessert will surely impress!
- 1 family size box of brownie mix (batter prepared according to package)
- 1 (8oz) package of softened cream cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and generously grease a 9x13 baking dish with oil or non-stick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, prepare your brownie mix according the directions on the box, and then pour it into your prepared baking dish.
In a medium size bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Next, beat in the sugar, egg and vanilla until well blended.
Gently drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over your brownie batter and then swirl it around with a butter knife or small spatula, creating a marbled effect.
Bake in the middle rack of your oven for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
- Any boxed brownie mix will do as long as it is the family size (18-20 ounces); I would just avoid the boxes that come with a separate packet of fudge or caramel.
- Make sure your cream cheese is at room temperate, otherwise it will be too hard and clumpy to spread evenly over the brownie mix.
Don’t forget to pin and save for later! 🙂
