Turn flour tortillas into crispy garlic bread with this fun oven-baked method!
Garlic bread is probably at the top of the list when it comes to delicious comfort food, and this creative way of making it is a total game changer. You’re basically just folding flour tortillas like an accordion, lining them into a baking dish, stuffing the folds with lots of gooey mozzarella, and then coating with a yummy garlic herb infused olive oil mixture.
Once it comes out of the oven, this pull-apart “bread” delivers on every level—crispy on the outside, melty in the center, packed with flavor, and completely irresistible. It’s the ultimate side to serve with almost any meal or savory snack when you’re in the mood for something salty and satisfying.

Say goodbye to ordinary tortillas and say hello to garlic bread magic!

Ingredients Needed
- 8 flour tortillas (soft taco size)
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella
- ½ cup olive oil
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1-2 tbsps grated parmesan (optional)
Step 1Fold the tortillas back and forth like an accordion and place them upright and snuggly into an 8×8 baking dish.

Step 2Stuff the folds full of shredded cheese. I tend to use approximately 1½ cups, but feel free to eyeball it. There’s no strict formula here! I’m not sure you can possibly have too much cheese.

Step 3Whisk the olive oil with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning until well combined. An immersion blender can help achieve an even better consistency.

Step 4Spoon the olive oil mixture generously over the top and in-between the tortilla folds. Use the spoon to stir the mixture regularly as the seasoning tends to want to settle to the bottom.

Step 5Sprinkle the top with grated parmesan and cover the dish with foil. Bake in a 400° F oven for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for 8-10 minutes or until crispy and golden brown.

Now comes the exciting part where you get to dig in! Allow it to cool for a few minutes while you enjoy the scent of freshly baked cheesy tortilla bread, and then simply tear off a piece for devouring. Better act quickly before someone claims the last one. 🙂
