I’m honestly not sure how I’d survive without my air fryer. I have become dependent on this mini oven to make so many quick and easy recipes. I have yet to be disappointed with anything that goes in there! This tortilla garlic bread is no exception. It’s awesome, cheesy comfort food that can be enjoyed as a yummy snack or side dish for any meal.

Warning: Using tortillas to make garlic bread in your air fryer is life changing.

Quick, easy, and delicious! The easiest way to make garlic bread in your air fryer with flour tortillas.

Ingredients Needed

  • 2 flour tortillas (any size that will fit in your air fryer)
  • softened butter
  • shredded mozzarella
  • garlic powder
  • Italian seasoning

How to make garlic bread in your air fryer with flour tortillas, butter, shredded cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.

Step 1Butter makes everything delicious, am I right!? Slather TWO tortillas with lots of softened butter. Make sure to spread it out all the way to the edges. I use salted butter, but any butter will do. You could always sprinkle on a little salt if you’d like.

Step 2Next, top each tortilla with a layer of shredded cheese and then sprinkle with garlic powder and Italian seasoning. I use mozzarella, but any shredded cheese will work. You could also include a little bit of grated or shredded parmesan.

Step 3Stack the two cheese loaded tortillas on top of each other and then air fry at 375° F for about 5 minutes. Watch it carefully and pull it out as soon as it turns a dark golden brown color and is crisp all along the edges.

Step 4At this point your mouth will be watering, but try to allow the garlic bread to rest for a minute or two before slicing into individual serving. HINT: Use a pizza cutter to easily slice however you’d like.

Now, dig in!! This cheesy “bread” is gooey in the middle with crispy edges that are to die for! We love making this as a quick snack when we are craving something tasty to eat, but it’s also a great last minute side dish served with salad, soup, or pasta.

What We Love Most About This Easy Tortilla Garlic Bread Recipe

  • It’s quick and simple to make last minute, and much better than frozen garlic toast. Trust me, it’s crazy good.
  • Thanks to the air fryer, it’s easy enough for kids to make when hunger strikes. Even my teenager struggles to find the strength and courage to heat up a frozen meal, but she won’t hesitate to make this. It’s totally worth it.
  • This amazing tortilla garlic bread makes any meal 10x better! Try it with salad and thank me later.
  • Almost all of the ingredients are cheap and common staples that we usually have on hand, and there’s no exact recipe here. Just measure with your heart and have fun.
  • This yummy comfort food is versatile! Try topping it with fun ingredients for added flavor including parmesan, basil pesto, jalapeño coins, pepperoni, olives, leftover meat, herbs, etc.
  • Turn this yummy snack into party food and serve with pizza sauce! Simply double or triple the recipe for family gatherings and slumber parties. It makes for a quick appetizer when suddenly everyone decides they are starving and can’t wait until dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 flour tortillas (any size that fits in your air fryer)
  • softened butter
  • shredded mozzarella cheese
  • sprinkle of garlic powder and Italian seasoning

Instructions

  • Use a butter knife to spread softened butter over TWO flour tortillas, covering them all the way to the edge. I use soft taco size tortillas with about one tablespoon of butter for each.
  • Load each buttered tortilla with a generous amount of shredded cheese and then sprinkle with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
  • Stack the two cheese loaded tortillas on top of each other, and place in a preheated 375° air fryer for approximately 5 minutes. Keep an eye on it! Pull it out as soon as the cheese turns a deep golden brown color with crispy edges.
  • Allow it to cool for a minute or two and then slice with a pizza cutter into individual servings.

Notes

  • The beauty of this easy tortilla garlic bread is that there's no EXACT recipe here. Simply slather with butter, sprinkle with cheese, and season however you'd like.
  • You can use any soft shredded cheese for this garlic bread including mozzarella, parmesan, cheddar, Monterey Jack, etc. You could even try a combination! We just use whatever we already have on hand.
  • Try topping with other fun ingredients for added flavor including jalapeños, pepperoni, bacon bits, olives, basil pesto, herbs, red pepper flakes, leftover meat, etc. If you include anything leafy such as basil or spinach, be sure to bury it under the cheese so that it doesn't fly away.
  • This cheesy bread can be served as a yummy snack, appetizer, or side dish with any meal including salad, soup, spaghetti, and more.
  • Take it up a notch with your favorite dipping sauce such as marinara or ranch dressing.
  • If you're watching your carbs or calories, try the Carb Balance tortillas to make this recipe a little healthier. They have about half the calories with added fiber.
