Ingredients
2(12oz)bags frozen green beans(thawed)
1(15oz)jar Alfredo sauce
1/4cupgrated parmesan cheese
1(6oz)container crispy fried onions
seasoning to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350° F and grease the sides of a 1½ quart dish (9x9 or 7x11).
Place the thawed green beans into a large bowl ensuring that any excess liquid is drained. Toss them with the Alfred sauce and seasoning of choice. I use black pepper and garlic powder. No salt needed!
Place the green bean mixture into your prepared dish and evenly sprinkle the parmesan cheese over top.
Bake in the center rack of your oven for 25 minutes. Place the French fried onions on top and continue baking for another 5 minutes or until crispy.
Notes
Are you feeding a large family for Thanksgiving? Double the recipe and use a 9x13 baking dish. Toss in about a quarter of the crispy onions to the green bean mixture before baking. I would also add about 5 minutes to the baking time BEFORE the remaining crispy onions are added to the top.
You can also try this vegetable side dish with thawed broccoli or anything else that pairs well with Alfredo sauce.
If you want to make this simple casserole into more of a meal, try tossing in some pulled rotisserie chicken or cooked sausage.
