Ingredients
1family size box of brownie mix(batter prepared according to package)
1(8oz)package of softened cream cheese
1egg
1/3cupsugar
1/2tspvanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350° F and generously grease a 9x13 baking dish with oil or non-stick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, prepare your brownie mix according the directions on the box, and then pour it into your prepared baking dish.
In a medium size bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Next, beat in the sugar, egg and vanilla until well blended.
Gently drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over your brownie batter and then swirl it around with a butter knife or small spatula to create a marbled effect.
Bake in the middle rack of your oven for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
Notes
Any boxed brownie mix will do as long as it is the family size (18-20 ounces); I would just avoid the boxes that come with a separate packet of fudge or caramel.
Make sure your cream cheese is at room temperate, otherwise it will be too hard and clumpy to spread evenly over the brownie mix.
